CLIENT ASK: Bring the Call of Duty Universe to Life

AGENCY: On Board Experiential

ROLE/RESPONSIBILITY: Producer

We partnered with Activision to unveil Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to the press and content creators for the very first time. Guests were greeted with a theatrical entry moment putting them right into the in-game environment. Upon entry they got the first-ever look at the official game trailer, and Infinity Ward game developers discussed the game’s new features. Attendees ended the night in the gameplay area, complete with 130 customized game stations and a 36-foot wall that included the live signature Modern Warfare soundwave on LED panels, the ultimate melee for any Duty fan. (Cues Metallica)

ALWAYS HAVE A CONTINGENCY PLAN

At this moment, I was relayed a message over radio that I would need to go to Goya Studio in Hollywood to secure the backup space for the live game stream scheduled for the next day. Apparently someone (possibly another gaming company) called the city and stated that we didn’t have the proper permits to host the event. Luckily, permits were updated and we didn’t have to change course.
